Those damn thumbnails

Posted by SupNovaGY - November 22nd, 2022

I wonder what is that best way to thumbnail your works to make it more appealing on the art page, should it be up to the face or show most of the drawing? Also my iPad doesn’t allow me to move the thumbnail around, only zooming in and out, how do I fix that?!?! ;;

I think the most eye catching part of your character could be used in the thumbnail but if you ask me,I’d say the character’s face is a good choice.As for the IPad issue,I wish I knew too.Anyway,keep up the great work!

Can't help, i only use the computer to upload stuff, tho your thumbnails are actually quite nice, so don't sweat it, I reckon people can see the quality of your art just by the thumbnail just like i did

Aww, I’m happy they’re at least you can see what’s going on; I’ll try to open it on my PC and see if it allows it then

Personally when I upload my drawings, putting the face (or at least the head) is my go to. I'm trying to not make awkward crops, like with noticeable tangents. But I've also seen people put a unrelated detail in the thumbnail for a surprise effect.

Hmm, this is actually pretty helpful advice and I’ll note that; thank you so much!
