This feels like a good time for a PSA. People who have nothing to do with one another can share usernames across the internet. That's often accidental and isn't the same as impersonating someone. It's always a good idea to confirm who you're commissioning if their site handle is a combination of words used in multiple languages and the art is in a pop style.

I think I read a story about that scammer a while ago.

But in cases where money was transferred the victims have a way to track that person in real life - because at some pint that transaction leads to a bank account. With a name and address. This is also a case for law enforcement.

Holy shit, worst part about this is MULTIPLE of this imposter's stolen art has been frontpaged already and this account has been around for MONTHS, I actually can not believe this.

The scammer already made an account on NG in the past and made another this year (that was deleted too now thankfully).

I think your friend should make an account here on NG too. That way, nobody can take your friend's identity (on NG at least).

I don't know what is your friend opinion on this though.

Impersonation for 3 years now... woah... I can't imagine how scary it is for your friend :(

I actually followed this scammer, well, without knowing it was a scammer. I don't wanna go into details but their behavior was just getting weirder and weirder.

@SouSTAR Ya same, they sent me a friend request and when I declined and messaged em saying I don't really roll that way, they went on about wanting to make friends with people who are smaller artists which in hindsight is hella creepy with them stealing art.

Ever since I had started following them and occasionally commenting on their posts they would IMMEDIATELY send a request not even a few minutes later, I'm not one to really accept out-of-the-blue requests from people I barely knew and interacted with (especially since I'm a minor), but every time I interacted with them in the most insignificant of ways I would get a request immediately sent to me that I would quickly decline, it eventually made me decide to unfollow them completely as the constant requests were making me uncomfortable.

This account is legit! :D
I hope @takoyakisquidd will post her art on NG one day :)
The best thing would be to add the different links to her different social media accounts, like using a Linktree for example, so there's no misunderstanding anymore :)
